It's exciting to have access to more when you pick up another language, even a little. I'm in no way fluent in Spanish, but I catch things like differences between subtitles and spoken words in movies and TV and just that is very striking to me. I love the linguistic little differences and what is lost or changed in translation. This is one of those things that's so great about living now in the future, where we have access to resources that make things like this possible.
