Looking Back and Looking Forward

In just under a month I will have been on LJ for a year.

I've made some wonderful friends, done a bit of commenting, had my first proper go at being a beta, for thesmallhobbit's sherlock_remix story The Investigation (I suggested moving a comma slightly to the right. Oh, yes - it's always worth calling me in) and, of course, I've been giving my all to sherlock60^^

But otherwise, I haven't got terribly involved with the site so far. So, as a first step to broadening my horizons, I have volunteered to make recs for 221b_recs during the month of July. Please keep an eye out for my posts! ^_^

Moving a comma can make or break a sentence, is all I say. :)

You were very helpful as a beta - it's not just the punctuation, even though that's important - but for me equally it's knowing that the plot works and I haven't accidentally left half of it in my head.

And you should be very proud of Sherlock60. We seem to have gained quite a few followers now.

I follow 221b_recs so will be interested to see what you rec.

It was slightly amusing though that my first go at beta-ing was essentially "looks absolutely fine to me" ^_^

I am very proud of Sherlock60 - I'm glad we both stuck with it. It's fine with just us two posting and laurose8 commenting but it's even better with a few more people taking an interest ^^

Oh, go you! I did that site, if by "did" we can mean fulfilling half my obligation. (Very understanding mods around there.) I'm sure it will be a good experience.
